When dumping large amounts of trash into dumpsters, itโs easy to forget that many materials can be recycled. Most people want sustainable options where they can do whatโs best for the environment instead of needlessly filling landfills. Almost all garbage can be recycled in one way or another, so itโs worth knowing what waste can be recycled or reused.
While we donโt yet have the technology to sort waste from a single container, Scapers offers three different dumpster options for properly sorting your Trash/Debris, Clean Fill, and Green Waste. Letโs take a closer look at what each category includes:
- Green Waste
Also called natural waste, this type includes trees, yard clippings, limbs, and debris from pure wood construction. Anything that can be chipped for mulch and recycled fits into this category. By separating this waste from everything else, we ensure that nothing of use will go to waste, helping create a cleaner world and reducing what goes into the landfill.
- Clean Fill
Clean fill includes stone, rock, concrete, masonry by-products, and asphalt and can mostly be found at construction sites. It does not include dirt. When this type of waste is collected, itโs generally broken down into gravel for recycling or used in other construction projects as โClean Fill Dirt.โ
- Trash/Debris
The โTrash/Debrisโ category is a mixed bag. It includes everything not found in the other two types mentioned above, except for liquids and hazardous materials. All of this โstuffโ goes directly to the transfer station, gets processed, then goes straight to the landfill.
In the waste disposal industry, we promote sustainability and environmental responsibility. By using our sorting options, you can ensure that you are doing whatโs best for the environment and being a good steward of the earthโs resources.
