1. Green Waste

Also called natural waste, this type includes trees, yard clippings, limbs, and debris from pure wood construction. Anything that can be chipped for mulch and recycled fits into this category. By separating this waste from everything else, we ensure that nothing of use will go to waste, helping create a cleaner world and reducing what goes into the landfill.

2. Clean Fill

Clean fill includes stone, rock, concrete, masonry by-products, and asphalt and can mostly be found at construction sites. It does not include dirt. When this type of waste is collected, it’s generally broken down into gravel for recycling or used in other construction projects as “Clean Fill Dirt.”

3. Trash/Debris

The “Trash/Debris” category is a mixed bag. It includes everything not found in the other two types mentioned above, except for liquids and hazardous materials. All of this “stuff” goes directly to the transfer station, gets processed, then goes straight to the landfill.
