We asked Scapers’ owner, Kyle Kraft, some of the most common questions concerning our commercial construction dumpster rentals. Here are his responses: 

The benefits of roll-off dumpsters?

When you call Scapers to rent your dumpster, we’ll help you figure out the most cost-effective option to handle your project. 

Our 30-yard dumpster is by far our most popular size. It has a 4-ton weight limit and holds about 12-13 pickup truck loads. If you have a new construction project and want a dumpster for the entire project, this is an ideal size. 

Our 40-yard dumpster is a huge container with a 4-ton weight limit. It handles about 20-25 truckloads and accommodates larger items. This is ideal for large-scale demolition projects that use loading machines to get a lot of material into the dumpster quickly. The 40-yard container is not suitable for smaller projects as it is very tall, making it difficult to load without a machine. 

How high can we load the dumpster?

You will see a yellow sticker at the top of the dumpster that says “maximum loading level.” Please do not fill the dumpster above this line, as we have to get our tarps over the top rails and then safely haul it down the highway.

What CAN go into the dumpster?

You can dispose of pretty much any waste that comes from your construction projects in our dumpsters, such as demolition debris, wood, drywall, tile, bricks, concrete, cabinets, plumbing, flooring, roofing material, carpeting, windows, glass, etc. Remember, if you have a lot of heavy waste, you might go over the designated weight limit quickly.  

What CANNOT go into the dumpster?

It is against the law to dispose of hazardous waste in dumpsters. Hazardous waste includes toxic chemical products, pesticides, radioactive materials, solvents, paint (except wholly dried latex paint cans, no liquids), flammable liquids, tires, batteries, asbestos, sealed barrels, etc. 

Do you take green waste?
We can take yard waste and brush, but it cannot be mixed with trash. We recycle and reuse green waste. You will want a separate dumpster if your project involves a lot of green waste. 

What about clean fill?
Clean fill is any type of dirt, rock, or concrete. We offer a 15-yard dumpster for clean fill, as it cannot be mixed with yard waste, tree debris, or trash. 

Where should I place my dumpster? 

When choosing where to place your dumpster, there are several things to remember. Make sure your dumpster has a sturdy base to sit on. You can place it on the ground, but remember that it will probably kill the grass under it and may leave marks behind when moved. Concrete surfaces work well. You can also build a base with plywood to help protect the grass and other surfaces. Place the dumpster conveniently near the worksite, with a straight, unobstructed path, out of the way but close enough for quick and easy access.

What is the process for renting a dumpster from Scapers?

You can reserve a dumpster by filling out our online form or calling us. Tell us the dumpster you need, the delivery location, and the desired rental period. After processing your payment, our Scapers staff will confirm your rental via email and phone.

2. Receive Your Dumpster

Your dumpster is on the way! To keep you informed, we can provide text updates with the delivery ETA.
3. Return Your Dumpster

When your job is complete, call us to arrange pickup.

What is included in the rental cost?

Each rental includes a seven-day rental period, to-and-from site delivery, hauling and disposal, and emergency response service.
