Scapers’ Favorite Charitable Causes
Donate Life America—There are over 100,000 people waiting on lifesaving transplants. The mission of Donate Life America is to enlist more organ donors by transforming the mindset to encourage Americans to be a part of the solution. If people view becoming an organ donor as an act of kindness and taking responsibility for their fellow Americans, then more organs will be available for needful candidates. The mission of Donate Life America is to register donors as well as educate people on the value of organ donation. The Scapers family is passionate about organ donation and helping Donate Life America find lifesaving donors for patients all over our country.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation—Cystic Fibrosis is a rare genetic condition, which impacts a patient’s lungs, pancreas, and other organs. This chronic disease affects roughly 30,000 Americans and does not have a cure yet. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is helping patients diagnosed with CF find relief from symptoms and understand the latest developments in Cystic Fibrosis research. By financing CF research, the hope is that a cure will be found soon. We sympathize with patients suffering daily from CF and hope donations to CFF will help find treatments and a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
St. Louis County Police Association Need for Aid—We are thankful for the contributions to our community by our local police. The St. Louis County Police Association Need for Aid was established in 2019 as a support for Lodge 111 police officers, professional staff, and their immediate families in times of need. Whether an officer has been injured on the job or a dispatcher’s husband has a life-threatening disease, the heroes of our community deserve a gift of help. The foundation allows for the family to receive an unrestricted check to use for their expenses and needs during their trying time. Need for Aid also supplies college scholarships each year to deserving students connected to Lodge 111. The foundation accepts donations and hosts fundraisers to secure the funding needed.
